Fundraisers Bring Music, Food & Wine In Support of OPTIONS' Programs

Fundraising has become a major part of any non-profit these days. In order to make ends meet - as well as provide the extras - it's an absolute necessity. With a goal of $40,000 in mind, we set out with high hopes. This year, OPTIONS held two events.
The first was the Avila Beach Music Festival featuring Emmylou Harris, Herb Pedersen, Jude Johnstone and Irene Kelley. Held at The Avila Beach Golf resort on September 30th, the supporters were treated to an afternoon of folk songs and blue grass music.
OPTIONS also raffled off a 2006 Pontiac Solstice Convertible to a lucky local winner from Morro Bay.
The middle of October's setting was Hoppe's Garden Bistro in Cayucos where incredible food and amazing wine were on the bill. - Bill Hoppe that is.
On hand were Baileyana Winery, Clairborne & Churchill (Clay Thomspson & Fredricka Churchill), Foxen (Bill Wathen & Dick Dore), Harmony Cellars (Chuck & Kim Mulligan), Kenneth Volk Vineyards (Ken & Tricia Volk), Norman Vineyards (Lei Norman), Peachy Canyon Winery (Doug & Nancy Beckett), and Shadow Canyon Cellars (Gary & Armida Gibson).
Dawn Lambeth & The Usonia Jazz Band kept the afternoon filled with the silky sounds of swing and jazz while the generous patrons visited the silent auction and bought raffle tickets for a chance of round-trip-airfare on AirJamaica. A good time was had by all and we thank everyone for their participation. Also a special thanks to George Sabo of San Luis Reality for donating the wine glasses.
OPTIONS Fundraising efforts fill a multitude of needs. As well as the general fund, which includes home improvement and unfunded medical services, there are also a number of special memorial funds:

The Terry Lynn Greene Memorial Fund - Career Exploration
The Patti Gange Memorial Fund - Educational Programs, Services or Trips
All of these funds are in need of support throughout the year - not just the holiday season. Donations can be made to the general fund for use wherever they are in need most, or can be ear marked for a specific fund.
